Welcome to

Siren Word_edited.png

The all-new show for 2025 from Fool's Gold is available for booking now! The booking window is March -April- May 2025; we may be able to take other dates.

This show retains all of our trademark elements; the stories, tales, projected visuals, and live acoustic music all based around a compelling theme to grab an audience's attention.

And this time, the theme is the story of the Sea...featuring the stories behind the songs, of adventures, legends, and with a big dose of fun. As usual, audiences will sing, laugh, and maybe even shed a tear. If you want to skip straight to booking, the contact form is at the foot of this page

About Siren Song

Carol & Steve Robson have been delivering high-quality quality affordable shows to Village Halls and Community centres for long enough to know that it works - and works very well. If any promoters want to know what other people from earlier tours think about us, please get in touch with any one of them and ask what they think about our shows.

We deliver shows that entertain through compelling stories linked to the songs, fantastic projected visuals to help the stories, and of course by delivering great songs. There are songs to join in with, well-known and original songs, all played live on acoustic instruments. We have been described as performing in many styles from folk, Americana, and my personal favorite - Contemporary Folk - I don't know what it means but it sounds good!

All we need from a venue is time to set up and access to a couple of plus sockets. We bring our own PA, lights, and projection system. Some halls have big screens (or white walls), which is great - if not, we have a screen!

Shows generally have two 'halves' of roughly 45 minutes, with one interval. Other formats can be arranged. We're happy with cabaret or theatre-style seating.

The fee structure for the show is a show fee of £200, plus fuel costs to and from a venue from our Durham base. Fuel is calculated at cost - it works for us and works for you.

We are fully insured and PAT tested, and have everything we need except a plug socket - if you have one of those, we can play for you!
